Why KRMA
Safety & Welfare First

Safeguarding at KRMA

Every child and adult who trains at Koku-Ryu Martial Arts has the right to feel safe, respected and protected from harm. Here is exactly how we make that happen — and how to raise a concern.

The Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts recognised mark

Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts Recognised

We have demonstrated to independent auditors that KRMA meets the safeguarding and child protection criteria set out by the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts, supported by Sport England.

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is the first point of contact for any welfare concern relating to a KRMA student or activity. You can speak in confidence.

You can also raise a concern directly with external statutory bodies such as the NSPCC or your local safeguarding children partnership. KRMA will never treat raising a genuine concern as a complaint.
